Historic Preservation Fund

As the Fort Snelling Veterans Memorial Chapel is rapidly approaching its 85th anniversary, the Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel Foundation recognizes the importance of maintaining this aging structure. To better meet these increased financial needs the Foundation has established a new fund, a Historic Preservation Fund. This fund is intended to supplement the effrorts by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in maintaining the integrity and beauty of this historic Chapel. This joint effort will insure the Chapel continues to be a beautiful monument to the patriotism, the moral earnestness and the convictions of the people of this state...for future generations of veterans and Minnesotans.

The Foundation and the DNR will jointly identify projects for restoration. All work will be subject to the historic preservation guidelines. The distribution of the Historic Preservation Fund will be controlled by the Board of Directors for the Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel Foundation.

The Foundation is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization. Your contirbution is tax deductible. Your gift toward this fund is greatly appreciated.
